Understanding KFTD’s Commitment to Anti-Bribery

Kimia Farma Trading & Distribution understands that corruption and bribery may cause social, moral, and political troubles. It can also disrupt the implementation of good corporate governance that has been employed to create a clean work ethic. The Anti-Bribery Management System is expected to provide guidance to create a clean business process with integrity and avert any act of fraud, gratification, bribery, corruption, collusion, and nepotism within the company.

KFTD Efforts in Creating Anti-Bribery Environment

In order to strengthen the implementation of the Anti-Bribery Management System, KFTD is committed to providing the optimum efforts and ensuring that the entire process is effectively and efficiently planned and executed. That includes doing things as follows:

1. Form the Anti-Bribery Compliance Function

The Anti-Bribery Compliance Function (FKAP) is established to supervise the design and implementation of Anti-Bribery Management System by providing guidance for all personnels regarding issues of bribery. This unit is also responsible to report the performance of the Anti-Bribery Management System to the steering committee and top management.

2. Conducting Due Diligence

Kimia Farma Trading & Distribution conducts due diligence on employees before they are promoted or reassigned to positions that have a high risk of bribery. This is done to ensure that employees will comply with the policies in the Anti-Bribery Management System without questions.

3. Carry Out Training

To show commitment against bribery and corruption within the company, KFTD carries out training, mentoring, or reassigning employees to ensure all employees are within their competence and skills required to perform his/her tasks.

4. Provide Sufficient Resources

The top management manifests KFTD integrity in combating bribery and corruption by providing sufficient resources required to implement an effective Anti-Bribery Management System. The company is also reviewing all resources available and adjusting to meet the benefits of the system.

KFTD strives to build a strong establishment, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Anti-Bribery Management System. This effort also in sync with KFTD’s good corporate governance principles.
